Greg Jones, a native of Central Pennsylvania, is the owner and Acupuncturist at West Shore Community Acupuncture. He is a Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology of the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and holds a license to practice Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in the State of Pennsylvania.

Greg left Central Pennsylvania to join the Army in 1991 and served as a Cavalry Scout with the 10^th Mountain Division in Somalia. He then earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre-Med from the State University of New York College of ESF in Syracuse, where he graduated magna cum laude. While in Syracuse, Greg worked as an Emergency Medical Technician with Syracuse University Ambulance Corp. He then moved to St. Petersburg Florida where he graduated from the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2002, and practiced as an Acupuncture Physician for 5 years. While in St. Petersburg, he also taught classes at FITCM and at Acupuncture and Herbal Therapies Professional Herbalist Training Program, where he practiced acupuncture and was a supervisor of the student herbal clinic.

He then heard about Working Class Acupuncture in Portland Oregon who practiced “community acupuncture”. He flew out to Portland to learn about their clinic and meet other acupuncturists from all over the country who were running successful community acupuncture clinics. He found that this type of clinic was exactly what he had wanted when he began studying acupuncture, so he left his practice in Florida and decided to move back home to Central Pennsylvania. He believes healthcare has become way too expensive, and he knows through his own experience how beneficial acupuncture can be. His goal is to make acupuncture affordable and accessible to all members of our community. West Shore Community Acupuncture makes this possible.
